The sun is sunny, the sky is blue and the temperature is about 20 degrees today, so it's clearly time to start making Christmas cake.

Trying a new recipe this year from Felicity Cloake's How to cook the perfect... column in The Guardian. I like the idea that Ms Cloake has cooked her way through about 10 different cakes to establish the best bits from each. In theory, what I end up with should be supreme amongst Christmas cakes. I'll report back in just over a month!
