Tilly has a lot to say for herself

Recently, Tilly has had an explosion of creativity.  From being fairly uninterested in drawing a few months ago, she has gone to producing a new masterpiece every other day.  And it's not only drawing - she also does a lot of writing too and sounds out most of the words by herself.  Here are some of the best bits from her growing portfolio.

My space rocket.  'Iron Man has gone to the moon in his rocket and found an alien'

Very obviously, a tiger.  I just love the way she's got the fierce eyebrows spot on.  And the fangs and claws are very tigerish too
Pig on burt, err dirt.  I don't know why, but I find this one very appealing.
I love you little beastie, love you from Tilly.  Tilly's birthday card for Harriet.  Very cute
Venomous snake.  The snake is pretty cool and scary but I'm most impressed that Tilly isn't scared of spelling long words.  Did I even know the word venomous at her age?
As you can surmise from the above, Tilly is definitely ready to start school.  Roll on 4th August and her first day!  When I dropped her off at day care the other day she was very grumpy and announced that she was bored of Bear Park.  Fortunately, one of the teachers had the bright idea of providing her with an exercise book to practice her writing in 'just like they do at school, Tilly!'.  Her group has been looking at trees as a topic, and inspired by that she came home that day with the entire book full of pictures of trees and various labels, 'normal tree', 'grandpa tree', 'David tree', 'Hannah tree' and our personal favourites:
Baby tickle mum.  Baby tree and mummy.  The way Tilly has done the baby tree's eyes do give it a very innocent, butter wouldn't melt expression.  Mum looks rather annoyed though
Cold and happy daddy tree.  Which is clearly better than being cold and sad.  There's a back story here but I'm not sure about the details.
Interestingly, we heard from Tilly's teacher that in the time remaining to her after completing her Magnum Opus she took a Taekwon Do class at day care for a group of boys and had them learning some 'moves'.  I wish my days were half as productive!
