Tilly's one true love

Last time I wrote about Tilly's straight-talking, takes no prisoners approach, I had been on the receiving end.  Today it was Dave's turn.


Tilly is helping Dave fill the trolley in the supermarket.
T: (clutches a packet to her chest) I looove apricots!
D: I love you Tilly.
T: (reflective pause) I love you too Dave.  But I love apricots more.

Honest definitely.  But rather crushing.  Good job Dave has broad shoulders.
