We are not homeless

Hurrah! We've just signed a tenancy agreement for a house in St Heliers, Auckland. That this is a relief is a bit of an understatement!

We won't move in until 8th June, but from that date our address will be: 63B Clarendon Road, St Heliers, Auckland 1071. The agent's picture makes it look considerably larger and grander than it is, but we're rather pleased as it is much nicer than the other ones we've looked at and in the perfect location - really close to beach, park, shops and library, which might sound like an unusual requirement, but not when you have two book-devouring children.
The sunset above was taken this evening from the park on the beach about 300m from the new place.  Reuben and Tilly had great fun interspersing swings and climbing frames, with rock pools and sand.  Reuben's playing easily with other children in the parks and seems confident that he's making friends - easing some inevitable parental guilt about dragging him away from his friends and family in the UK.  Tilly is taking it all in her stride as I guess you do at 1 3/4 years old.  She's perky and charming all the natives she meets.
