A brace of birthdays

Reuben and Harriet have just celebrated their 8th and 2nd birthdays respectively.  We've just about cleared up the shredded wrapping paper and I've stopped finding hundreds and thousands dotted around the kitchen, so here are some pictures from the celebrations.

Reuben decided he'd like to go bowling for his party, so we had a noisy afternoon with 12 boys throwing heavy objects around.

As you can see, Dave found it quite tiring.  Here he is still recovering the next day.  Tilly just concentrates on eating cake.
Six days later it was Harriet's turn.

She got to model her new birthday tutu with her pyjamas (très chic!)
And carry her baby around in the new baby carrier

Then she had a lovely time with her friends at her party.  In the afternoon, she went out for a ride with Dave (in a different tutu - because a girl can't have too many.)
And oh dear, Dave seems to have found it quite tiring again.  Still, Harriet discovers that he makes a novel place to drink her evening bottle of milk.

Thanks very much to everyone in the UK who sent presents despite the hideous cost of airmail.  Reuben and Harriet both had fab birthdays and loved all their gifts.
