Reuben the Kea

This is a kea, New Zealand's native parrot (renowned for attacking sheep and car windscreen wipers, apparently!)

And this is Reuben, who has just been invested as a Kea, which is also the junior branch of Scouts in New Zealand.

And here is what he brought home to be stitched on to his Keas shirt.

SEVEN badges!! Are they having a laugh?  He's only a Kea until his next birthday, so come April some of them are going to have to be taken off and replaced with Cubs regalia.  [Weary sigh].
